Here are some questions we have had from guests which you may find useful when considering your booking needs.

Q. How far in advance do you have to book?
A. This totally depends on availability however we do request at least 24 hours notice to ensure we have prepped your welcome basket and the cottage is ready.
Q. What is the maximum number of guests allowed?
A. The maximum is 15 which includes 3 in travel cots. For adults it will comfortably sleep 12. With 4 taking the sofa beds in the living room. The price is set whether you have 6 or 12.
Q. When is payment due?
A. We have various options to suit you. Some guests prefer to pay in full at the time of booking or they like to secure their dates with 15% of the total booking costs. If customers chose to pay the 15% (non refundable), the balance is due 4 weeks before check-in.
Please note, if you pay in full but cancel within 6 weeks a full refund will be made.
Q. Do you require a safety deposit when booking?
A. Yes, we want to ensure our cottage remains in a tip top condition and therefore charge a fully refundable £350 deposit. This is refunded within 7 days of checking out. This is also due 4 weeks before booking.
Q. What payment methods do you accept?
A. For convenience we have linked our website to PayPal which allows you to pay via credit/ debit card and your PayPal account. This gives our guests added protection.
Q. What is your cancellation policy?
A. For comprehensive information on our cancellation policy please visit the Terms & Conditions page. This page will provide all the fine print relating to booking and cancelling.
Q. Do you provide linen?
A. Yes we try to provide as much as we can. Check out our Facilities and Amenities page for further information. To clarify though, we provide towels for up to 8 people, all bedding including sofa bed bedding and other household essentials you may need.
Q. How many pets can we bring?
A. You can bring up to 4 dogs with you and each is charged at £10.00 per dog per booking.
Q. Can we change our dates once our booking is confirmed?
A. Wherever possible we will try to accommodate your needs and understand you may need to change dates at times however whether we can depends on bookings already confirmed. We will however try to accommodate any requirements when possible.
Q. Can we add on pets once our booking is confirmed?
A. Yes, no problem at all. You're welcome to have up to 4 dogs with you. All we ask is that you inform us at least 48 hours in advance so we can issue a PayPal invoice for payment. Dogs are charged at £10.00 per dog per booking. Not per week. Therefore if you stay for 3 weeks, you only pay 1 charge.
Q. What time can we arrive at the property?
A. Check-in is anytime after 4 p.m. In most cases someone will be there to greet you however if your arriving late at night it's no problem. The keys are at the property in a key safe. The code for the Key Safe will be provided via e-mail before your arrival. If you require someone to be at the property when you check-in please let us know at least 48 hours before check-in.
Q. Do we need a car?
A. Yes definitely. Even if it's just to get your luggage up there, that's if your a walk lover. The walk up the hill is quite steep and in order to explore the local area a car is essential.
Q. Where are the shops/ grocery store?
A. The property is located in a small village therefore there is little there by way of shops. There is a larger town approx. 5 miles away which has various grocery shops, take-away's, post office etc. Your complimentary welcome basket will have some essentials but we would advise bringing some supplies with you, especially if you are arriving at night.
Q. Where is the closest Pub/ Restaurant?
A. Great news, literally down the hill less than 1/2 miles away. The Grapes Hotel has wonderful food and a nice, relaxed atmosphere. Just make sure if you walk you can get back up the hill!
Q. What time do we have to check-out?
A. Check-out can be anytime before 11 a.m. On occasion we may be able to offer a late check-out for a small fee however this depends on availability.
